About Isabel

Home, style, and strong opinions
about closet systems.

Simple Living Ways is Isabel Mannino's corner of the internet. No fluff, no perfectly curated lifestyle, no pretending a $300 linen organizer changed everything. Just honest takes, practical advice, and occasionally very specific opinions about hangers.

What This Place Is About

I got tired of the aspirational content too

Somewhere along the way, home and style content stopped being helpful and started being a full-time job to keep up with. New trends every week, organization systems that require a second mortgage, and fashion advice written for people who clearly don't live in the real world. It got exhausting.

Simple Living Ways started because I wanted a different kind of resource. One that respects your time, your budget, and your intelligence. I'm not here to sell you a lifestyle. I'm here to help you figure out what actually works — in your home, with your wardrobe, in your actual life.

I cover home organization, fashion and style, and the home and lifestyle topics that don't fit neatly into either box. I approach all of it the same way: skip the noise, keep what works, be honest about what doesn't.

The Person Behind It

Hi, I'm Isabel Mannino.

Isabel Mannino — Simple Living Ways

I started this site because I genuinely believe that a well-organized home and a wardrobe that actually works for you can make your daily life meaningfully better — and that neither of those things should require a Pinterest-perfect setup or a budget you don't have.

I've spent more time than I'd like to admit reorganizing the same closet, testing organization systems that look great on YouTube and fall apart in real life, and figuring out which fashion rules actually hold up and which ones you can safely ignore. That's what I write about here.

"I'm not superstitious, but I am a little stitious. About color-coded hangers, mostly."

What I Cover

Three topics. One honest take.

Organization

Closets, kitchens, garages, junk drawers. I cover real organization systems for real homes — not just the ones that look good in a photoshoot. If it doesn't hold up after three months of actual use, I'll tell you that too.

Fashion & Style

Style advice that works for actual bodies, actual budgets, and actual lives. Not for the theoretical person who has unlimited closet space and nowhere to be. I cover what to wear, what to skip, and how to build a wardrobe you'll actually use.

Home & Lifestyle

Everything that doesn't fit neatly into organization or fashion but still makes your home and daily life better. Decor that's actually livable. Routines that stick. The stuff I keep coming back to because it genuinely works.

How I Work

The standard I hold myself to

There's a lot of content out there written to get clicks, not to help. Recommendations for products the writer has never used. Organization systems that work great for a single person with a large home and no kids. Fashion advice that quietly assumes you have a different body, budget, or life than you do.

I participate in the Amazon Associates Program and earn a commission on some purchases. I'm transparent about that. But it doesn't shape what I recommend — I've pointed readers away from products I could have made money on because they weren't good enough. That's not going to change.

I write for people with real homes, real wardrobes, and real lives. If something isn't worth your time or money, I'll say so directly.

01
Real over aspirational

If it doesn't work in a normal home, it doesn't get recommended here.

02
Honest about affiliates

I earn commissions from some links. It has never changed what I recommend.

03
Budget-aware always

Good organization and good style don't require spending a lot. I prove it regularly.

04
Direct and specific

No vague advice. If I say something works, I tell you exactly why and for whom.
